How many solid meals per day?

My little guy started solids at 6 months. He loves them and will eat anything and a lot of it. So far we are only giving him solids at breakfast (cereal&fruit) and at dinner (fruit, vegetable and cereal). The doctor said we can start three meals when he seems like he needs it. Please let me know what you guys are doing. Thanks-Amy

My daughter loves her solids. I bought little puff cereal (the kind that melts in their mouths) even though they say not to until infants are one year. She loves to feed herself. She gets fruit and cereal in the morning; bottle with or shortly after. Then veggie and cereal for lunch (only when I first intro the veggie, if she has no issues with the veggie after a few days I will give it to her straight), then more bottles until dinner when she gets more veggies. If she eats all her veggies, I top her off with a fruit...

I feed my daughter Cereal and fruit in the morning. then she recieves a 4oz bottle about a half an hour later. At lunch she gets a fruit, no cereal. another bottle. she has about two bottles before dinner which is a vegatable and cereal. Being full helps her attitude. she is nomally a happy baby but being full she has little to now tantrums. she has been on solids for a two months now but on this scheduale for about a month

My son is quite the little piglet. We feed him whenever he is hungry. I give him four meals a day. and bottles in between and sometimes with. It depends on how hungry he is. He is very large for his age. Not chubby, just long. We have very tall people in our family, I myself am six foot. Try three meals a day, if it works then go from there, do whatever you see is best for your child.
