My son would rather roll around everywhere than crawl. I have been told some babies dont crawl they just go straight to walking.

My friend's son didn't start crawling until 10 1/2 months. Now he's almost 3 and is the most athletic toddler I have ever met. He can basically play any sport. I wouldn't worry about the not crawling. Every kid is different.

our doc told us the same thing about them not counting it as a milestone. Just sit back and enjoy it cause they will be into everything once they start moving!

I actually talked to my son's pediatrician about this same discussion Monday. She said that they don't even count that as a milestone now seeing as how many babies don't crawl. My son is 9 months old and has no interest whatsoever in crawling. He doesn't even want to try to learn. However, if you put him in his walker he books it around the house lol. He also just started trying to let go of mommy's hands while he is walking. Talk about a heart attack!

my daughter scooted and rolled everywhere for quite some time before she finally got up and started crawling. In just a matter of a month she started crawling and standing herself up to everything and walking with stuff!

In a matter of 2 weeks my son started sitting up on his own, "army" crawling ( one hand over the other ) and standing. he started at about 9 months.

i have a 9mth old girl skye she dosent crawl either, she is quite happy just rolling around. skye had abit of a ruff start to life which was ment to set her back alittle but all her other milestones have been right on. i have 2 other children my first was crawling at 7mths and my second never crawled until after he learned to walk.

I wouldn't worry about it. All babies do their thing at different times. My friends little guys didn't crawl until 11 months and he is now 15 months and walking all over the place like a pro.

My daughter isn't crawling yet, and I can tell you from her lack of interest in even being in the crawling position, she may never crawl. Some babies do, some don't. Just know that as long as other milestones are happening, there isn't a huge cause for concern. :) Relax.. and enjoy your baby. It goes by soo fast.

my baby crawls, however i have a friend whose girl is now 4 but when she was a baby she didnt start crawling until a week before her first birthday! And I think she started walking at 15 weeks! They asked their doctor about it and he said she was perfectly healthy and normal and to just give it time, dont rush her! I hope this helps. (and by the way, their baby rolled all the time too, and she started talking early....they said it was a funny sight!)

This is true. A friend of mine has a child who while under one he never crawled. Once he turned one he went from rolling and scooting to full blown running!! Unless he is behind on other milestones, I wouldn't worry. Just give him time.
