nervous about 10 mth milestones....

Owen just turned 10 months yesterday..I was readying "the book" lol and there are a few milestones that should be accomplished this month. I try not to be a "book" mom but sometimesi can't help it hahaha

Ok so...he is standing all by himself, no holding on so its a matter of days for walking i think

he cruises around furniture a little bit

he feeds himself his finger foods

he even dances around holding on to the ottoman lol

he babbles constantly but he says mama dada almost by like accident and its not directed to anyone and its not that often.... i know they say he should be saying it by the end of the month

he doesnt clap or wave!?!?!?

and they say "play peek-a-boo" what does that mean? that he responds to me doing it? or that he himself places his hands infornt of his eyes? because he responds to me...doesnt do it himself

like i said he turned 10 mths yesterday so i have time i was just wondering what you all did with your babies to help them along and is anyone going through a similar situation

My daugter is 10 months old and she plays peek a boo but not in the typical way. She will bend down next to the chair I am sitting at to "hide" and then pop up and I say peek a boo and she laughs. I think it's more of a respond to peek a boo in the milstones.

your baby sounds like he's right on track. The whole peek-a-boo thing is weird i think it means that the baby responds when you play peek a boo i don't know any 10 month old babies really that will put their hands over their own eyes to play it. I have a 10 month old myself and she's doing everything yours is...she just started walking a week ago...those books are good but they can also freak you out as friend has a 9 month old who isn't sitting up yet and my sister didn't crawl until she was 11 months no worries every baby will hit their own milestones when they are ready unless something is medically wrong.
