Yup! I found out last week, and I'm already 12 weeks into it! Surprise! I was nursing my little girl, too. I'm fine with it- first 2 are 18 months apart, and these will be 16 months apart.

It's not stupid! :)
There will be difficult times with 2 littlies, but no matter what age they are there are difficulties. Just think how close they will be when they are older. Don't listen to people who are negative!
Our 2nd is almost 8 months and I would love another one but my husband is not so keen. :)
Congrats and good luck!

My second little guy,(born 4/14/10), was definatly not an oops baby, even though we had just had had a baby 15mo earlier. I am not gonna tell you that has not been stressful for us, especially because our finances our not the greatest. But we truely would not have it any other way!

No it is not stupid. I got pregnant with my 3rd child when my son was 1 month old. My fiancee and i are actually thinking of trying for a baby of our own when this bub is about 3 to 4 months old. I didn't plan on having my kids so close together but if it is meant to be it will happen. Congrats and all the best.

I actually mis before we got preggers with our second. They would have been 14 months apart. And, I had not gotten my period back yet. Stopped breastfeeding my first at 9 months, and got pregnant the next month. @Jeannette, we are in the same boat as you. Nature will dictate when we are to have our next :) Nice that way. Although, my husband works in an industry that goes through shutdowns twice a year. After having our first two during shutdowns, I would like to have one in "off season" ;)

I am 36 and my two girls are 19 months apart. They're not as close as yours, but it also wasn't nearly as difficult as everyone implied it would be. :)

A word of warning to those who talked about not having your period yet. You will ovulate before you have a period. I never had a period after my first. I just got pregnant!!!

And I'm not done either. I am letting nature take it's course this time, too.

My daughter born 19/04/10 was my second. My son was born 03/05/09. So 50 weeks apart. She was conceived when he was about 9 weeks old. They are the best of friends & inseparable. They pregnancy was a little tiring towards the end as my son started walking so i spent my days chasing him. But if i had to do it all over again i would not change a thing. Dont listen to any horror stories. It is tough but amazing. My 2 are blessings as i was told i could not have children after 12 mis, 1 ectopic & a still birth at 36 weeks. Good luck congrats & if you need someone to talk to just send me a message. xxxxxx

You wouldn't have gotten pregnant if you weren't ready. I have already been thinking about having another one! I have a 2 yo as well (they're 19 months apart) and he doesn't remember being an only child. It was never and still isn't important to me whether or not I only have on in diapers. It is not a big deal. There are definitely days that my patience wanes, but it is worth it. We have two beautiful children who are going to grow up close and we are looking forward to having more. Don't feel stupid!

Well its a beautiful, as long as you can be willing to cater to both of their needs. If you can handle it, go right ahead. :)

I beat you by about 2 weeks but congratulations to you! I also had multiple mis before my son so I know how scary it is. Am over 9 weeks at this stage.

hahah I am pregnant again I am a little over a month and my boy is 6.5 months. I had 4 miscarrages before him, so if I have this baby i will be double blessed. I do have to go back to work for 14 weeks to get mat leave again. So i will be going back when my boy is 10 months instead of 12, but then i get another year off, so not to bad. Good luck hun, we will both need it haha

No we did not use birth control - we wanted another child. Am 36 now and I went through several mis before having my son and may have to go through more (I hope not) before having another child. We both hope that this one makes it. We both love being parents but due to illness never dreamed that it would happen and now that it has we cherish every moment.

don'y even worry about it. My kids are 12months and 11 days apart. We want to have more but are waiting untill our oldest is at least two, I want all of my kids close and wouldn't change a thing. This way they will always have a playmate, and won't be lonley.

Its a true blessing!! We tryed 3 years for our first and started trying again right after my son was born and its been 7 months with no luck. Enjoy your little ones, they will be great buddies being so close together!! Congrats!!

i dont believe so :) i have 2 kids, 12 months between them and it isnt as hard as everyone implied it was going to be! even though my 2nd had reflux from birth, a hernia and an operation to fix it we have managed to get both kids in the same routine, in the same room and even eating the same foods now - with the babys food being blended and the toddlers served as is :)
congratulation too by the way!

You will do fine and your son will adjust. My brother and sister are 11 months apart and do just fine. It helps with hand me downs as long as they are the same gender. I wish you the best with your children. After a certain age they will occupy each other for awhile and it can be quite fun. My two are 22 months apart. So one is 2 and the other is almost crawling.

yeah bills are trouble this way too. but then again. as soon at the the first one is out of the bassinet and he's in a crib you have stuff for the next one. so 2 to 3 years down the line you don't have to buy anything. umm.. if your breastfeeding it depends on the women about when she gets her monthly friend back...

I really want another now, but the bills don't. I still haven't gotten my period back, so even if I'm ready, my body's not yet. I would prefer to not have 2 in diaper though. We're planning on waiting for 2-3 years as of now, but at the same time, I'm hoping that I were to get pregnant unexpectedly though.

He'll be ok aslong as he still gets attention and later on he won't even remember being an only child so there shouldn't be jealousy
