Anyone tried Cranio Sacral therapy for their baby?

Our Bella is 8mo and not a very keen sleeper (hard to settle in evening and wakes up several times during the night). We have tried most things (but NOT letting her cry!!!) and someone recommended to try cranio sacral therapy. We did this yesterday and she did not like it very much (it does not hurt but her head is held while lying on her back which she does not like).

Apparently, a nerve at the top of her spine was squashed and this can cause all sorts of disruption to a persons general well being and also impact how easy a person can settle down and go to sleep (sounds familiar!).

So with a few adjustments, the preassure on this nerve should ease and theoretically, Bella should settle and sleep better. So far, it seems like she is a lot calmer and she has had a few really good naps (she slept over 1hrs without me having to feed her back to sleep, usually she wakes after 30 min).

We are going back for another session next week (and how good is this - this place does not charge a set fee, you pay what you think it's worth!).

Has anyone else tried this and if so, what results did you experience - please let me know as I am very curious about this.

I've had that done to my head, personally, and I can attest that it's a very, very strange feeling, especially when they start moving the plates in your head. I was pretty sure the hallucinations would start soon. Sadly, they never did, but it did get rid of my headaches!

That being said, I've heard of this for babies, and my infant massage book has a small (very small) section on head massage. Nothing to this extent, but I imagine that if it works for us, it will work for little people as well. Let us know how this works out for you!! Sounds promising... in theory ;)
