Consumer Reports is the only reporter of safety crash testing! Even the National Highway whatever only rates ease of use!!!! Ridiculous!

Brenda, that one was not listed on Consumer Reports. This is what they had:

Evenflo Triumph Advance Premier ($180) and Evenflo Triumph Advance LX/DLX ($135) both got an overall score of 70 out of 100 (the highest score by far) in the category of COnvertible seats: Greater than 40 lbs forward-facing harness capacity. Britax Boulevard ($310) was the next one at 65 out of 100. All 3 got "excellent" for fit-to-vehicle. Crash protection for all three was "very good."

In the category that has max of 40 pounds facing forward harness capacity, the Cosco Scenera ($60) (yes, $60 - not a typo) got 64 out of 100 (highest seat ranked 68) and was the only seat that got "excellent" for Crash protection. What a buy! But your son may outgrow that quickly....

I just wanted to say I read the reviews on BabiesRUs and they are pretty stellar, one even said that when they took it to the Fire Department they raved about it, saying it was a great seat. So this might be what I get, then when it is time to forward face, change to a different five point harness seat, but this gets such good reviews I'm hoping it will last until two!
