Speech Delay

My 2 year old daughter is not speaking very clearly. She can say probably 25 - 30 words and can say some two word phrases "Thank You, Want That, I'm Done". She is trying to speak all of the time. At first we thought it was due to fluid in her ears affecting her hearing, but a month ago she had surgery to have tubes put in, and just this week she passed a hearing test. Which she wasn't able to do before the tubes. She has been seeing a speech therapist once a week for about a month. The feedback that I am receiving from the speech therapist is that she has low oral muscle tone. Which makes sense, because she does drool a lot and is a very messy eater when she is eating things such as candy (i.e. M & Ms, Skittles, etc.) I am wondering if any other moms out there have kids that have had problems with low oral muscle tone either now or when they were younger. I am trying to get a feel for how long she will need speech therapy and how long until we start seeing some progress in her speech?

I am checking into Help me grow because our ins. doesn't pay for speech and $65 a week is not in our budget right now.

My daughter does that to, not finishing her words. Are they going to have him start seeing a speech therapist? They should offer the service for free as early childhood intervention.

My son was just screened and has a delay, he does not have very many words, maybe 5-10. And he does not finish them like dad is da. bird ir bur. He gets his point across without words. She said he is very independent and will do for himself before asking so does not feel the need for words now how do you fix that?????
