Cheap and easy goodie bag ideas for my baby's first bday party

We are having my daughter's first birthday party in two weeks. I am so over the goodie bags filled with junk that we tend to get at parties. When my three year old is napping, my husband and I usually throw out the candy and tiny cheap toys we get at some parties. I am looking for something different to hand out this time. I am having about 12 kids ranging in age from 1-8. I would love some suggestions! Thanks

Jumbo crayons are great for smaller children. Print out some colouring sheets of favourite TV show characters from the internet (CBeebies website does them in the UK). Every kid loves a balloon, so I always throw in one. For slightly older kids, bendy, twisty straws are good fun. Cheap matchbox cars are good for the boys. Small hairclips are good for girls. Hope this helps.

Lori has some good ideas. For the little ones you could also get the individual cereal cups of cheerios. Fruit snacks or apple slices are good too. I know when we always have little ones at a party I buy an age appropriate toy. Target always has some nice dollar items in the front of the store. And with back to school coming soon you could get the school aged kids some supplies. Walmart has some stuff for only 25 cents. I know the ones that start kindergarten this year would love to get stuff like that. They are usually excited about it. Good luck

for the older kids, what about some small crafty kit, yo yo, jacks, some granola bars?? For the younger ones, you could do board books, bright colored toy of some sort, an age appropriate healthy snack item, etc. even finger puppets. Hope this gets you started with some ideas.
