I think my 15 month old daughter might have an ear infection.for the past couple days she has been really crabby and crying alot more then usual.she has a slight fever but no other cold symptoms.im starting to really get worried bc she wont nap or go to bed w/o a bad crying fit first. im wondering if i should call the doctor or if maybe she is just having a bad week.any insight would be appreciated, thanks.

My little girl has an ear infection. She had been playing with her ear in the weeks before and trying to stick objects in it. When we went for her 15th month check up we told the doctor and sure enough she had an ear infection. She also had a low grade fever that day.

Hmm, i never knew that! That would explain a lot of the times that Chace pulls on his ears and digs his finger in it but has no fever or fussiness! lol how funny to feel ur teeth in ur ears! Thanks Camille!

If she's pulling on her ears a lot she may have an ear infection. She could also be teething. My daughters doctor told me that babies can feel there teeth in there ears. You so call the doctor to be on the safe side.

If she starts pulling at her ears or they get red I would most definately take her to see the Dr. My 15 month old has had a couple of ear infections and those are usually the tell tale signs. A fever, runny nose, and crabbiness can be signs as well or she could be teething. I guess in the end, you have to do what makes you most comfortable!

I know that these symptoms are common with teething and pretty much any other type of sickness. I have two kids both who now have tubes because they got so many ear infections. They never really had many symptoms or signs that pointed to ear infections. I think you just make a judgment call. You know if your child isn't right and if you take them to the dr then you will know for sure if she has one.

Usually that is a sign of teething. My daughter gets the same way. Give her Tylenol, teething pellets, oragel, and teething melt away stripes. She'll be fine. Now if she starts to vomit or have lose stools thats when I would go to the doctors. Hope this helps.

Has she got any Molars coming through?? My 15 Month old has been the same this week and she has two top molars coming through. I have been giving her Panadol and this seems to help. Maybe check her gums, if you can feel or see her molars it's probably just that. If not I would go and see a doctor.
