My daughter Kylie weighs only 15lbs 14 ounces. It seems small to me. How much does your baby weigh?

My son Zachary weighs 24lbs and 30 inches long. The doctor says he is very healthy.

my almost exclusively BF son was 30.5 in and 23 lbs at his 9-month appointment. I wouldn't worry about a 15-pounder as long as they've got bright eyes, shiny hair and seem to be consistently gaining and reaching developmental milestones.

So true... every child is different and gains at a different rate. Jackson is 22.7 and 30 inches long... however he has been just around this size since he was 7 months old, so I think we hit a plateau for a while...lol!!
My daughter when she was this same age, was only 16lbs and 28 inches... she didn't hit 22lbs till she was almost 2!

I had concerns that my child was too heavy until I read all of these responses, he's about 24 to 25 lbs now. I know that doctors don't take any weight real serious until after they are a year old, but it concerned me. He eats like crazy, he wants to eat everything that I do and he does!

Dont worry about it as long as she is healthy. My son is huge for his age. At 9 months he was 26lbs 30.5 in. and he is bigger now. The doctors told me he is great weight for his height. He just happens to be the size of a 16 month old. He is very active, just big. Dont worry I am sure she is perfect

Unlike my oldest son, this guy is a MOOSE!!

At last check, he was over 24lbs. and somewhere over 29 inches tall. At one point, he was only ten pounds and inches smaller than my oldest son!!

(My oldest is at the VERY bottom of the growth chart)

Every child is different due to gender, genetics and build of frame. My son is on the petite side and he weighs in at about 18 pounds. However, since he continues to remain on the growth charts and isn't dropping off, it's ok.

My son weighs 23 pounds, but he weighed 8 pounds 8 ounces at birth. He is in the 95th percentile. My first child only weighed 16 pounds at a year. He is 7 and weighs 49 pounds. They catch up. As long as your doctors not worried, don;t worry either!

Madyson weighed 22 lbs 11 oz. and was 30 1/2 inches long at her 9 mo. appt. She is now 10 1/2 mo. (Aug. 2nd) so she probably weighs close to 24 lbs. Her daddy is 6'9" so I can already tell she is going to be tall!!

My daughter is 12lbs 1oz and 25inches and was born at 6lbs 6oz and 18inches. And she eats all the time ( baby food, breast milk, and table foods)

But she has been crawling since 5months; standing since 6months; climbing and scooting across furniture since 8months; and she clearly says "hi" and "bye" while waving since 9months... so what she lacks in size she makes up for in smarts!!!

My daughter was weighed today and weighed 18 lbs 3oz. She is now in the 40%. She was in the 10%. At her 6 month check up she only weighed 13 lbs. To increase her weight, I started supplementing with a little formula and offering more solids. Before she seemed satisfied when she ate. I started offering more and she took it gladly. I would have never known she still wanted more. She is also very active too.

Unless your doctor wants you to come back in for a weight check, I would not worry.

My son weighs about 23 lbs and 29 inches long. I'm glad to see my baby isn't the only big baby around. Everyone always comment on how big he is!

At my son's 9 month appt he weighed 20.5 pounds. I thought that was big, but dr said he is in the 50th percentile...he was 28.5 inches long too, but still 50th percentile.

Samantha weighs 16 lbs 13 oz the dr wanted me to increase her formula cause she is small. She is a good eater she just burns her calories once she eats them. My dh and I were small when we were younger too.

You can't compare babies as there is a huge range. My son is 18lbs 9oz and very active. Between his 6mo and 9mo visit he did not gain much due to the crawling around and climbing stairs!

Your doctor will let you know if there is an issue! Each child develops differently! Not everyone has a little moose like me! LOL! My Alex was born 8-24-08 and now weighs 23.5 pounds and is 28.5 inches!

My daughter Ava is 18 1/2 points and 30 in long. She was little when she was born... 6 lb 4 oz and she lost a lot of weight her first couple days and did not make it back to her birth weight until she was a month old.

My son Carson weighs 24lbs and is 29in long... as long as the doctor doesn't have any concerns, I'm sure she's fine

my daughter was born a preemie weighing only 2 pounds 8 ounces and 14 3/4" long and now weighs 17 pounds and is 27" long. All babies grow differently. If her doctor doesn't think there's a problem, then I wouldn't worry.

My girl is 19lbs 14oz, but like the others said all babies are different. Was she a small baby at birth? I think if she has consistently put on weight since birth at about the same rate there is no need to worry. I have a friend who has a baby boy who is 5 months older than my daughter but weighs the same amount.... they're all different!
