Hi all.
My son is 6.5 months and he sleeps for roughly 12 hours at night from about 6 pm to 5-6 am. During the day he sleeps 2 or 3 chunks of 1/2 hour, no more no less. My question is...how to change his night sleeping pattern and to move it from about 8 pm to 8 am. it would make a huge difference for me as well. Also he is quite active and by 5:30 pm he is very tired and wants to go to sleep for the night so i don't really have a choice. Thanks

Try prolongiing the time between his naps then try keeping him awake. If he is used to that schedule it will be hard to change it. Start with taking small steps first. try keeping him up till 630pm then lay him down for bed, then try 700pm when u think he is ready. I had to do this with my son. It is a slow process but it worked. Now he goes to bed at 730 and sleeps till about 730 or 8 the next morning. you can try playing a baby einstein movie to help keep his concentration on that rather than him concentrating on him getting tired. My son loves the baby einstein videos. I play the lullaby one everynight before its time for our bedtime routine. it relaxs him and winds him down for the day. I hope this helps you. Stick with it. A little bit each day. Good luck!
