I am a little concerned for my daughter who will be 17 months on the 18th because she has started getting very picky over the last few weeks and is decreasing her amount of milk she takes per day. I would say she drinks 2 8oz from her sippy cup and will basically only eat some baby food fruit. (only certain kinds), waffles, toaster strudels, yogurt, pretzels and some crackers ONLY with peanut butter. She will also eat some cherrios or cinnamon toast crunch and LOVES cheese. But she doesnt eat any meat or beans or ANY vegetables at all. I think thats it. What I mentioned above is literally all she will eat. Should I call the pediatrician?

I am kinda in the same situation. I ask my pediatrician what i should do and she said that they will go through stages and to monitor their weight and try new methods to get them to eat certain vegetables and fruits.
My son eats scrambled eggs only if they have cheese on them, chicken nuggets, french fries, cheese sticks, potatoes (mashed or baked), bread.. He will not eat any other kind of meat or vegetable at all. He would drink milk all day long but the pediatrician has got him on no more than 2 8 oz cups of milk a day because he has a problem using the restroom.
I have tried almost everything that I can to get him to eat and somethings have worked. I can sometimes get him to eat some vegetables and fruits if I hide them in another food.. I am a pastry chef so I make a lot of breads and cookies daily so I have began putting more and more vegetables and fruits in baked goods and he is slowly eating them..

It is ally just a trail and error thing at this age..

Abbi went through that same phase at about a year. The WIC office freaked b/c her Iron levels dropped and made me take her to the pediatrician. The pediatrician said to off her other foods with protien in them and ended up prescribing a NASTY multi-vitamin. She wouldn't take the multivitamin at all no matter how hard I tried to mask the flavor (finally found that mango-orange drink will mask it) the key for Abs was to put Taco meat and spaghetti in the food processor and grind it up very small. I don't know if it was the texture or what it was, but she started eating that and we eventually got to the point that she'll eat anything I put in front of her again. Though it's likely she'll eat anything to get out of taking that vitamin again. I got some on my finger and could taste it in my's very gross.

My daughter, who is 16 months, is going through a similar stage with regards to eating. There are very few foods I can get her to eat. The pediatrician wasn't too concerned. She said to continue to offer vegetables and meats. Once in a while she will eat them. Like your daughter, she loves cheese-so I do give her that once or twice a day. I think it is just a phase...I hope!
