I just introduce cereal last Thursday. I put about a teaspoon of cereal in a bowl, and then I mix milk right out of the bottle(pumping, so breastmilk). I make it really runny, and feed it to my baby first, then he finishes the bottle. Sometimes he may not want the rest of the bottle right away, so I then bath him and try again. He usually will finish it then. I do this at night, becaus he was wanting an extra bottle in the evening to nurse him to sleep. My doctor said he was maxing out his oz. To introduce cereal if he acted like he needed more to eat. This so far has worked. My daughter was formula fed, and wouldn't eat it with formula, so I mixed hers with pear juice instead. She seemed to like it that way.

Oh, I also wanted to say its not a bad idea to mix prune juice in with the cereal as they will almost always get constipated from all the cereal!

I did it all wrong when I introduced her cereal... I put it in her bottle at night time in a desperate attempt to get her to sleep longer.. I was exhausted... it worked but "experts" say NOT to do that... They say in the morning is best with a rubber spoon... extreamly runny at first,, and they will likely just play with it instead of actually eating it. You should feed a bottle first though.

Good luck! Its funny the first few times!
