My 10 month old son just started sitting up by himself about a month ago...we've worked with him on crawling since he was 6 months old and every time we put him on his stomach for tummy time, he just rolls around. he absolutely hates being on his tummy and would rather roll to his destination. Any ideas?

My baby girl, Francesca, will be 10 months on the 16th, and she JUST started crawling this past sunday. I, like you, didn't know if i should worry. But after talking to the pedi and others, i realized every baby is different. I really thought Francesca was going to skip crawling altogether because she pulls herself up and cruises so easily. You're little one will be crawling sooner or later (or even go straight to walking)-definitely don't worry! :)

My son is 9 months, nearly 10 and trying desperately to crawl but my great nephew is 16 months old and still not crawling. He bum shuffles, it's such a site to see. All babies develope when they r ready. There's no need to worry about it. Hey, make the most of it once he does start crawling you'll wish he wasn't. I remember that with my first son. There is such a fast transition from crawling to pulling themselves up on the furniture and then walking....you'll long for the days when you could put him down and walk out and back into the room knowing he would be in the same place and safe.
