snack attack

Im due in 2 weeks, but throughout my pregnacys I've found the need to eat quite regularly. I don't like buying junk while I'm out, and have tried carrying snack bars in my bag to keep me feeling sustained I also always carry a bottle of water.

But I haven't found anything that is convienent, that isn't full of junk, I tried organic oat bars but they made me feel sick from all the butter.

I know in some countries that have snack bars especially for this, but I haven't seen anything with the Aussie name on it, or that can be found in Australia...

Any mums that know the solution, let us all know! ;)

I had my daughter in Aug 09 so I had the urge to eat hearty foods being Winter. I ate from the time I woke up until I went to bed.... and my baby was only 4 pounds... go figure ! But I took lots and lots of yogurt to work with me, grapes, english muffins, crackers and anything else I could fit into small containers. I worked in an office that was primarly phone based so I needed things I could eat quickly and whilst in mid conversation ! Grapes were my favourite mixed with the yogurt and strawberries !!

Hey, it's summer time! Carry some summer fruits! I did with my son, I got one of those little conatiner (about the size of a deck of cards) and would fill it with summer fruits.

I don't know of any snack bars, but i have the same problem of snacking, I'm due on 10th June and I am always snacking rather then eating full meals. I usually carry fruit with me, like grapes or an apple, stuff like that or if i'm out i'll pick up something light, but if I find a snack bar made in Australia I will let you know.
