Looking for recommendations for a good pediatrician

My current ped is just OK. She's pro breastfeeding (which is a must) but she's a little rushed and not very personal at all. There's also no chance of me getting on the phone with her if I ever have a quick question, which is just frustrating for me. Since when did doctors become so unavailable? I don't remember my mom having this much trouble talking to my doctor if she needed to. Anyhow, I'm looking for someone that is very pro breastfeeding (as I want to go long term as the WHO recommends) and someone that is detail oriented and cares for us as more than just a chart and a social security number. A family practice would be ideal I would think. Anyhow, who loves their peds out there and why?

I take my daughter to Carousel Pediatrics. They are a big office, so probably not what your looking for, but they provide many services so it is convenient. They also have a dentist and therapy services. 512 744 6000

I use Dr. William Caldwell and Dr. Melody Cassels. They are located in the Shoal Creek area, right behind Seton. I absolutly love them. I have never been to an appointment and felt rushed. He or she answers all of my questions and then some. When I have had a question I always get a call back. Maybe not from the doctor but there is a wonderful Nurse named Nicky that can answer anything. 512-454-0406. I hope that helps.
