My son is 2.5 years old and has ASD. We have been battling with MAJOR sleep problems for the last 6 months that are now seriously affecting him at his new school. Has anyone tried melatonin? Did it work well for you? My husband and I are seriously considering it. Has anyone used Kirkman Labs melatonin? THANKS!

My son is 13 now and we have always had major issues.  Mostly getting to sleep.  We have used Melatonin for years and it really seemed to helped him when he was younger.  However now with the addition of Aderall and Welbutrin we have had to move on to respital.  It is great because it as so very few adverse reaction with other drugs.

My son is on 1 mg of rispital and it works great.  I also had this trouble with sleeping unless I let him sleep with me and then I went out and brought all new bedding that was superman and told him it was a super hero and it would keep him safe all night and i also put both of my sons in the same bed this feb. and it helped too.

My daughter has PDD-NOS and hasn't slept a full night since she was born. This past year I've tried liquid melatonin and now I crush up the pills and put them in her bottle. I think they are magic! It doesn't work all the time but it definitely helps.
