Next Friday, we are flying to Florida from Calgary, with an over night stop in Toronto. But on the way home, we only have a short layover. Total flight time will be 7 hours.

Our son is 15 months old and so busy! He also has an ear PIERCING screech that we are trying to control, but with no such luck.

I'm worried about our will I keep him busy? He will want to run around and scream, oh my!

Any suggestions besides gravol?

Hi. I have done the whole plane thing with my oldest. We went from Maine to Hawaii. My suggestion is that you bring toys and play with him and you are allowed to pack snackes for him and cups/bottles. You're son will end up falling asleep on the plane. While you are taking off give your son his cup/bottle to drink so that his ears dont pop. I also carried my sons fav. stuffed animal with us on the plane so he was more comfortable and less scared.

Are you travelling with dad? I ask because if all these great suggestiond don't work (which they will coz thet are really good) dad are more likely to get sympathy if they are dealing with an out of control baby, unfair I know but its true and a good excuse for you to use to make dad handel it.Good Luck

Thanks ladies.....good ideas. A friend also told me that she goes to the dollar store and buys tons of toys from there.......then she just keeps pulling them out, one after the other as needed :) She says the wrapping keeps them just as interested. Haha.

Thanks again.

new toys and lots of them! my son loves books if your son likes them bring ones he's never seen before. also remember to bring a bottle or pacifier for take off and landing. if hes not sucking on something while taking off and landing he's going to freak out when his ears pop.

Good Luck!
