At five months my son was sleeping 6 straight hours at night. Then he got a really bad cold, now hes up anywhere from every 1/2 hour to every two hours. He just doesn't sleep any longer than that. I've tried everything I can think of. I've tried tylenol thinking its his teeth, nothing. I've tried letting him cry it out, he screamed for two hours. He's not hungry or poopy, just wants to be held. Any advice would be GREATLY appreciated because I can't do this much longer.

How did you let him cry it out? Did you go in to reassure him or just leave him in his room to cry? The only way I think you can get him to sleep at night is start the sleep training all over again (did you sleep train him or was he just a good sleeper?). I had to do this for my daugher after she was sick. Sometimes when babies go through an illness or something, they need a reminder that they need to sleep at night. I would suggest the book "Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child" by Marc Weissbluth or "Solve Your Child's Sleep Problems" by Richard Ferber.

my daughter did that just put him on the floor on his stomach and eventuallly he'll ware him self out and he'll start sleepin better.. it'll be hard to listen to him scream for like the first day but just dont run to him and pick him up just leave him there....
