We tried to start a "schedule" when our son was 4- 5 months... eventually, our son got used to it and started to sleep through the night

Really depends on the baby - I think mine started sleeping more than 4hrs at a time somewhere between 6 and 8 months.

oh boy oh boy.....depends on the baby I think. And it depends on if you are formula feeding or breast feeding. Formula takes longer to digest so they stay full longer and sleep longer. Breast milk is easier to digest which is why they eat so much more often and sleep for shorter time periods. Give formula at the last feeding. I think three months is the "normal" time for them to start sleeping longer. But my daughter went from waking every two hours to sleeping through the night in one night. Kids are funny. I didn't realize that you had a baby, I though the pictures you had put up were older, you look great and the baby is beautiful, none of that "funny newborn" look. Congrats. How was the labor? His name? how big was he?

Its usually at least six weeks until they figure out the difference between day and night. My son has been sleeping through the night since about seven weeks(6-8 hours a night)
