balancing baby and exercising

My son is 9 weeks old and I am really trying to get back into exercising. It's been tough because I had a c-section and I still cannot do core exercises. I go back to work next week and I am trying to find a way to balance the baby and exercising. Any suggestions? My husband works at a college and we thought about once school is in session checking with the RA's that he works with to see if any of them would watch my son 3 times a week for an hour so I can exercise. How have any of you worked it in?

I have done that, but I am trying to get back into running, and I'm afraid he won't be able to handle me running while in the stroller. Plus he often gets fussy while I try to take him for a walk (I had to cut my last exercise short b/c of it which is what I am trying to avoid having to do somehow).

Why dont you take your baby with you when you go for a walk with the buggy? Then you are doing both of you a favour. Also you could do yoga/stretches etc with your baby - there are books about that topic so check the library.
