Birth Control?????

My daughter is 11 weeks old and my partner and I have been using condoms since I gave birth. I am really happy with that because it takes the hassel off of me, but he hates the condoms and wants me to go on BC again. I am also concerned about paying for it because I no longer have health insurance. What should I do??

im in the same situation and i don't really think that i should have to take bc becuase there is absoulutly no reason that he can't wear a condom so i suggest u make him wear one anyway...

I visited my local health department, where they will dispense BC pills and do yearly exams. May be based on income, but you end up paying little or nothing for this. It is not the best alternative, but when you don't have insurance, it works just as well.

Well i used to take ortho low when i was 16, but then i never would remember to take it everyday, so i stopped. I met my hubby when i was 18 and started it back up. I took it for a year and then stopped it. We got pregnant had our daughter and then i got back on it. I never remembered to take it so it was bout 6 mos i stopped it altogether. It took us almost 3 yrs to get prego the 2nd time. Then after we had our son, i got the iud. i love the iud because i dont have to worry bout a pill or shot or nething like that. And i also have not had any periods in the last 6 mos. I like the iud alot....

Go to planned parenthood. Its not just for the unmentionable... its actually somewhere you can go to get gynecological care and get treated for those sorts of things, along with birth control. If you aren't breastfeeding, all options are open. If you are still exclusively breastfeeding I would highly recommend the mini-pill. It's progesterone-only and work in combination with the hormones that your body releases from breastfeeding. Call first if you feel uncomfortable just going in without knowing. They will help you. They want to help you make the right decisions for you and your partner, as well as your family :)

I completely understand where you are coming from. I just recently asked my Dr. the same question. He told me that there are plenty of BC that are only $8 a month. If you want to have more children, it isn't a bad idea. The only reason I am not taking advantage of it, is because we already have 4 children, and I am trying to convince my husband to get a vasectomy.

I think you should think carefully about what you want. Don't let anyone push you into anything. It doesn't really matter if your partner likes condoms or not because protecion should go both ways. Everything is always put onto women. We go through women things, having babies and doing everything on our own. so a guy should where a condom weather its cometable or not because women go through everything else, thats the least they can do. but only you can decide what to do. Think about what you want, no-one else.
