Crying at Night

Does anyone have any ideas how I can get my 10 month son to stop crying at night when I put him in his crib at bed time? He cries for about an hour and I feel so bad for him. Doctor said it should only last about 2 weeks and it has been over a month. He should not be crying himself to sleep every night.

Please Help.

Lie down in bed next to baby. Wrap yourself around him. Nurse or cuddle him to sleep.

Problem solved.

well with my daughter i have to give her a bottle to go to bed with or she will scream and carry on until someone comes to be with her. your son has to know its bed time and he wont be gettin treated like an adult. Let him cry for no longer than 20 minutes at the most then go in and lay him down comforting him

Does he have something with him to help distract him as well as comfort him? When i wanted to wean my little girl off the pacifier at nights, i was told to give her something else in place of it. So i gave her a small blanket which she now is given every time i put her into her crib. She plays with it at the beginning and eventually the warmth of the blanket next to her face helps her drop off to sleep. Maybe have a go at giving him something that he will always associate with his sleep time. Good luck xo
