feeling fat

I feel like all I do is eat and i'm starting to gain weight. I'm a stay at home mom and whenever i get up at night to take care of the baby I eat! it's 2 am and i just ate bread and butter. lol. before bed I had pizza..I'm not one to excersize but I do want to cut down on my eating. What do you moms do to keep away from the kitchen?

i kept almonds next to me at night when i fed Ewan because i would be starving! During the day, i went for a lot of walks but didn't deprive myself of food...you need it. Drink lots of water.

Breastfeeding sped up my metabolism like crazy!! So eating a lot was a healthy thing. Try focusing more on your baby when you wake up to keep your mind off food. Try rocking her to sleep and sing a little song even a made up song. One night I suddenly made a tune just with my daughters name. Or maybe read her a book. If your distracted by something else you wont feel the need to eat.

I eat healthy mini meals three to 4 hrs apart throughout the day. It helps to keep my energy up. Find healthy snacks that you like and can stand to eat. I would try maybe finding some light exercise as well. Even if it's just walking for about 20-30 mins. I Try not to eat anything at least 2hr before bed. Hope this helps
