For all the stressed out new Mums out there

Hello all!! My son is 5 1/2 weeks old and I was at my wits end because he wouldn't sleep. All he wanted to do was eat, eat, eat (I'm breastfeeding) and he was grumpy when he wasn't eating. I was pretty much feeding him every 45 minutes to 1 hour and I am severely sleep deprived. I even had to wait until my hubby came home after work to take a shower and was stressing out about not being able to get any housework done! Good grief!! I found myself crying inexplicably at any given time and was seriously wondering what was wrong with me and my baby. Was I doing something wrong? I was desperate, I would google questions with any free time I had, which was few and far in between. During my search I starting seeing blurbs from the Baby Whisperer and decided I need to see what all this fuss was about. So, I read some reviews and decided to get the book, although I didn't know when I would find the time to read it. Well, I decided to check out the chapters that addressed the problems that I was having with my son and a light bulb went off. Everything she was saying was exactly what I was going through and surprise, surprise I wasn't alone!!

So, I decided to apply her E.A.S.Y. process and OMG it worked!! Mind you, I'm just starting out but I had my son sleeping and taking his naps the very first day! I have since read the book pretty much cover to cover (I'm a fast reader thank goodness). I now see a light at the end of the tunnel and look forward to the future with my son.

If you are having the same problems that I have I highly suggest getting the book "Secrets of the Baby Whisperer" by Tracey Hogg. It has helped me tremendously and I hope it can do the same for you.

Slightly off topic but... the only time I get time to read is when I'm feeding my baby! I lie with her next to me on the bed and use one of my arms as a pillow and hold the book in the other! This might be of help to people who want to read that book but don't think they have time!

Hi, my little boy was dead fussy in 1st few weeks also wanted feeding every 30 mins to hour, he was breastfed and it was bloody hard work, he was apparently going through a growth spurt but i thought it would never end, now he sleeps all night and feeds every 3 or 4 hours which i great, i found it easier giving him a dummy when he started to winge when i knew there was nothing else wrong with him, now hes really really good xx

It's Tracey Hogg, not Tammy lol! Yes her book is very good, I recommend her pick-up/put-down method all the time.

BTW in my opinion, if you do the pick-up/put-down when you son is about 3mo, you can avoid lots of future "getting him to sleep" problems.

I also used the E.A.S.Y method! It's amazing. I recommend it to everyone, even when your baby gets older!
