Gaining Weight after Childbirth

My daughter is 7 months old and after her birth in Nov 08 I was lucky enough to lose all of my baby weight gained during the pregnancy. However due to breastfeeding, a fast metabolism, work issues and a stressful personal situation I have lost a lot more weight than I intended. I am naturally slim and usually weigh about 60kgs (130pds) but I am now down to 50kgs (110pds). My clothes all hang off me and I have had to buy more to look somewhat normal. I don't look anorexic but I think I look too skinny. I eat normally, high carbs, high fat, high protein but obviously not enough. I must admit that sometimes with my baby's routine I forget to have a meal but I seem to make up for it by snacking throughout the day. I just can't put any weight back on - and it's driving me crazy. I walk with the pram regularly but I am too scared to do any more exercise otherwise I might lose more weight. Any ideas or suggestions? I welcome any and all opinions..... thanks ladies :)

Hm....I can't personally relate but this happened to a friend of mine. She wasn't trying to lose so much weight but she did, especially after 6 months of breastfeeding. Are you going to continue to breastfeed? Perhaps when you choose to cut down on that you will burn less calories. My friend went to see a personal trainer who put her on a special diet and specific weight training exercises to build muscle mass. She also ate lots and lots of protein and fat and good carbs. She has put about 10-15 pounds back on. Wish I could be more help. Perhaps you could also see your doctor, just to get your thyroid and hormone levels checked out. Those can become irregular after childbirth. Good luck!
