i have an almost 20 pound 4 month 2week and 2day old lil baby boy just wondering when i should switch to a front facing car seat? i know that he is like 2 pounds away froming using his current car seat right now should i invest in a forward facing seat or what should i by instead?

My son is the same age as yours and weighs the same as well. We ended up getting a convertible seat because he really should be backwards facing until he's a year old; has to do with head control. We ended up getting Evenflo Triumph Advance LX Convertible Car Seat. See link below.

well it sounds like you are gonna need a new car seat but in canada your not suppost to face them forward until their a year old but u can buy car seats that u can face back and then when their a year old u can use the same car seat to turn them forward this will keep ur baby safe and save u money

Where do you live? In the US babies have to be 1 year old before they can be forward facing. We just got our 7 month old a convertible carseat- it can switch from rear facing to forward facing and can hold up to 50 lbs.
