I'm 17 & this is my first child. I'm scared to DEATH of holding babies because they're heads arent supported and I was wondering if this was normal?

That fear will go away AS SOON AS they place that beautiful baby in your arms. They are not quite as fragile as you might think and they learn to hold their heads up pretty quickly. Just be careful and pretty soon (like in 20 seconds) holding your new baby will become second nature. Good luck and congratulations.

I wasn't scared to hold him (partly because I work with babies) but I used to have nightmares that I would drop him, or fall and crush/drop him. Most first time parents feel the same way. But you'll soon get used to holding your baby, and balancing them so you are both stable and secure.

I was when i was pregnant but then as soon as i had my son its like i knew what to do and everything was okay and the all the fears just went away.
