I usually weigh 60kg I was 98.8kg when I gsve birthto my 4.6kg daughter bu cesarian. Having a c section has made it very hard to loose the weight especially because my baby never took to breast feeding and u cant exercise for 6 weeks so I had to express and feed her by bottle after 2.5months milk had dryed up and she was on formula so then I can do 1200 calorie diet I do 3 shakes a day plus balanced resonibly healthy dinner most of the time and im loosing about a kilo per week im now 74 so only 10 to go

after giving birth to my daughter in Feb I was having a hard time losing the extra 19lbs. I did the 24 day challenge (of which I now coach other moms through) and lost 3inch from my waist and all 19lbs. In just 24 days!!!! I highly recommend this to any mom, family or person. It is not a fad or diet it is a nutrition program. If you want to learn more I'd love to help :)

I gained 25lbs with my daughter and lost all but 5lbs of it after by diet, exercise and nursing, then by the time she was 7 months old I got pregnant again, with twins this time and I only gained 22lbs with them (boys were gaining weight but I was sick and lost weight) and since they were born I've lost all the weight but 5lbs...they are 3 months old. I'm dieting again and going to bootcamp workout classes 3 times a week and I also bring my daughter for walks which will soon turn into light jogs. I do have a totally different body now but I'm learning to accept that I now have this little overhanging wrinkly belly but in return though I have 3 beautiful healthy children.

With my first I breast fed and I lost weight superfast I would say it took me about 3-5months. My 3 month old daughter has also been breast fed and I am already back to my usual size 8. For both pregnancies I gained a lot of weight I was plus 75kgs before birth. My normal weight is 52kgs. Goodluck!

I weigh 30 pounds more than I did before I was pregnant. I tried dieting and exercise, but it doesn't come off. I am stuck at 160. If I eat what I want, I don't gain anything, but if I diet and exercise constantly, I don't lose anything. I think I might just be this weight from now on. :( Some of it is in my boobs, I gained a cup size. I also breastfed for 7 months, and that didn't seem to make a difference. Hearing how everyone else is able to lose their baby weight makes me sad a lot. I have an entire bag of cute clothes I will probably never fit in again.

With my first, just going from sitting at a desk all day eating Cheetos and Milk Duds and Mountain Dew to carrying a baby around and living on pb&j sandwiches had the baby weight off in 6 weeks and another 20 pounds off in 6 months.
With my second, the weight didn't want to budge until I had to give up all processed foods because of her allergies. Then even more weight came off even faster.

It depends on you and your body, I had the same questions coming into this as you and I found after all my worrying I didnt need to stress as my genes came good! I am sporty and fit but with a natural tendency to put on weight if I stop sport. I did run throughout my pregnancy/shuffle. Thinking I could get straight back into it after little Mr arrives. I had to have an emergency C section which put that dream in the bin. But you can always walk. I made sure I walked 5 mins of every hour after the first 6 hours post surgery and i increased it each day at the hospital. I lost RIDICULOUS amounts of weight via breast feeding and after day 8 I was down to my normal weight - and still loosing weight although a bit floppy in areas as I still cant do any abdominals ect. I walk EVERY WHERE, I still have a cheeky icecream and chocolate here and there. I eat normal so I put the fast weight loss due to breast feeding and walking walking walking. I wish you luck!

Its different for every my son's gonna be 2 in july and i still haven't lost the those last couple of kilos, and i'm going to the gym 4 times a week, not fair :( My mum says its because i didn't start exercising straight after giving, I slacked off for the first couple of months, so maybe thats why the weight seems to be cemented on :)

I breast fed and lost 40 lbs and then when i weaned my baby i ended up gaining 10 of it back... Now it is nice and warm and my baby is up on all her shots this summer I am going to stay active by going on walks around the neighborhood and try to stay active as much as I possibly can... Hopefully I'll get a little bit back into shape.

Hi Sarah. Hope you are doing well with your little one. I did not loose much after my 1st child for about 6 years... I jumped into work, taking care of her and life, yet I did not completely take care of myself, she is now 12 and I have had 3 miscarriages and an early twin pregnancy resulting in so much stress. I finally took the plunge, based on seeing friends having great results, and I joined team beachbody. I began doing the Shakeology nutrient enriched shakes as well as working out 30 minutes 3 times a week. i have seen great results in a short time. i am more energized as well as feeling better. I do not have cravings for crappy foods, and I feel great. If you are interested you can check out some info on www.myshakeology.com/bonniegoslin
If you check out the doctors tab it has some pretty interesting information. This product is also being endorsed by Oprah Winfrey. I hope you succeed in your goals. Best of luck with your baby.

I was about 25lbs overweight to begin with. I gained less than 20lbs when I was pregnant and lost all the weight within a month or two. I even lost a few more lbs, so I ended up a little lower than my pre-pregnancy weight. But I'm still overweight! And I can't even blame pregnancy!

i gained 53lbs with my son and he was born on Feb 8th of this year and I'm still trying to get the extra weight to go the heck away. I walk just about everywhere and I've only lost about 20-25lbs it annoying me that I cannot fit any of my clothes, not the maternity clothes and not the prepregnancy clothes either.

i gained 2 stone with my 1st two babys, but got back to a size 8 several months later.I fell pregnant with baby number 3 and put 3 1/2 stone on and 10 weeks after her found i was pregnant again.I had number 4 and it took till he was 20 months to shift that last stone. Then i found i was pregnant with number 5 then again when she was 10 weeks i was expecting number 6.I lost 1 1/2 stone in 7 weeks and the last stone when he was 10 months.I was a size 10 after 6 kids.Im now expecting baby number 7 ,and im not worried about losing the weight cause i do believe you are what you eat.I dont love food and am very active.I did have to work hard to shift my weight ,but i have been blessed with a good tummy (no sagging or stretch marks) very firm and toned.I dont think for one minute just because ive had kids i should be big.Eat healthy and lead an active life and you will lose the weight

With my daughter it took me about 3 months to lose the weight, but i hadn't realy gained any to begin with, but i never got my shape back, i just had my second child three weeks ago tomorrow and haven't lost any weight since leaving the hospital yet... but i think it all depends on what you are doing to lose the weight, if your active it'll come off faster, not as active it wont come off as fast

With my first son I gained 32lbs and Ilost everything but 5 pounds. With him I did baby yoga and walked a lot. With my second son he was born 5 weeks early so I only gained 17 pounds (I think, I was in too much pain to get weighed at tje hospital). After him I worked out a lot right after I had him, and I still do. I'm still 5 pounds away from what I was before I ever had kids. But this time I actually have stomach muscles that you can see above my c-section scar from my second baby. Right around that is where most of my flub is still located and its the hardest to lose but I'm still working at it.

Hi. Baby no1 I gained 77 pounds and it took me 4 years to lose it, then baby 2 came along 5 years later and I gained 65 pounds! She is now 3 and a half and I have lost 73 pounds. It was really hard for me to lose it, one day I just said enough. I didn't diet I just used a common sense approach. 5 smaller meals a day worked for me as well as drinking lots of water, replace sweets with fruit, eat from all of the food groups and portion control. Walk whenever and where ever you can. It's amazing how much better you feel just getting out in the fresh air :)

I gained 63 pounds. We just passed the two year mark and I've got 12 to go to get to my original weight, however, I wasn't happy then, so I'm shooting for 32 total. When my dd went to daycare at 3 months, it started a long string of illness between the two of us, mine turned into sinus infections everytime. I never felt like dieting or excercising. I'm better now, so hoping I can finish it off this time.

With my first it was ok - he was 5 weeks early so I never got that big.........
The second time I had twins and went to 37 weeks and my tummy was HUGE!! 6kgs of baby alone in there...
Anyway - have found it difficult as I have a lot of stretched skin this time and looks like overhang - pretty horrible!
Have now cut out all bad food and started Zumba - hope it works!

I only gained 7lbs so I lost it all and more when she was born. She will be two months old in a few days and I have lost 24lbs. I walk 5 miles a day, eat small breakfast(yogurt, and 1/2 cup granola), regular lunch and dinner. No junk food. I keep losing.

[deleted account]

It's was easy when I had a lot to lose (with my first) but I didn't gain as much weight this time around and it's been really super hard just to lose those last 5 pounds!

I'm not having a very good job losing the baby weight. I'm 17 months post-partum and have 35 more pounds to go. It sucks because I had high hopes that breastfeeding would help, but after breastfeeding for 13.5 months, it didn't help. :(

Welllllll, we are at the one year mark and i still have a good 10 lbs to go. It just seems amazing how the stress of baby bitching makes me crave sugar. If i could just stop making cookies and brownies then maybe the breastfeeding could finish the job. I should go nurse that baby now..hahahaha

Hi. My dd was born May 2009. I was due to get married Octover 2010. I'd put on about 1.5stn while expecting and I tried to lose the weight with controlling what and when I ate. But couldn't manage it alone, so joined Weight Watchers. I lost just shy of 1stn. I am at the weight I want to be, but tbh, the 1 thing that's still bugging me is my "Mum Tum" that I just can't seem to get rid of.

Breastfeeding definitely helps! My little one is 4 months and as of this week I am at my pre-pregnancy weight. I don't exercise, just breastfeed and eat right. :) I shouldn't really say I don't exercise, taking care of baby is plenty of exercise!

breast feeding combined w/a thyroid that went out of whack was how i unintentionally lost weight the first time. breast feeding can be a help in loosing weight, but you have to keep up w/your eating. you have to eat more when you are nursing than when you were pregnant.

the spring is great for putting the baby in the stroller and walking. either in the neighborhood or in a mall. stick to a routine, every day, or every other day, same time. i've never done anything more than walking. it's a great way to get activity w/out stressing out your body. and key for me was to throw out ALL junk food in my pantry and freezer and now i just don't buy it anymore. if it's not in the house, i won't get in the car to go buy it.

good luck!

Baby 1 was 3 years to loose the 3 stone, but next time I exercised all the way through and got back to it asap, so I lost in 3 months or so. This last one was a loss straight form delivery as I had been ill, and continued to exercise again...the exercise is the key, if you can get over the feeling of havong no energy for it, you will find pretty quickly that it will give you energy.
I think the main thing is not to put it on in the first place (may be shutting the barn door after the horse has bolted though lol)

I was exhausted too. I was too weak to push the vacuum cleaner until she was three months old. I did not feel well enough to exercise until she was past six months old.

I was too tired to really try to lose the weight, so my body had to do it without help. It came off sloooowly. By my babe's 1st birthday, I still had 5 lbs to go. By then I felt more energetic, and started going to the gym, so the last 5 lbs were not a big problem. But it was a long process. My body is still a different shape, though.
