How do I get my baby to take a bottle

I need my baby to start taking a bottle. He has a lot of allergies and I cant keep up with the diet changes. He has been breastfed for two months. Please help with any ideas on how to get him to take the bottle. I feel horrible because it upsets him

I just have to experiment with different bottles and nipples. I had to match up the pacifier she was using. She finally took the Nuk brand after all the others failed. I had to pump while at work so I had to get her use to one. Just keep trying though.

I haven't gone through this myself, but my sister-in-law did recently and these are a couple things she was told. If it's possible, have someone else try feeding him and have him turned away from the chest while feeding. If he's in the normal position to bf then that's what he'll be expecting and will be more likely reject the bottle.
And since Angela covered all the nipple/bottle info, that's all I have. :) Good luck and don't give up!

I had a hard time switching my son from breast to bottle, I tried every kind of bottle with different nipples. every child is different. try putting just a little bit of caro syrup on the nipple of the bottle. it is a little sweet and not harmful to him. check with your doctor on it first because of your son having allergies. but that is what my doctor told me to do. they make a bottle that is supposed to simulate a real breast and nipple, it has a wider base, its shorter and its a little pricier like $12 I think just for one. and try the NUK kind they have slanted nipples like how most times when a baby is feeding they will slant the mothers nipple(thats what happened when my son breast fed.) hope this helps. If your son takes a pacifier and likes it try and match that nipple to a bottle. :) ♥
