How do I stop my baby from rolling over in his sleep?

My 8 month old often rolls over onto his face in his cot. Although he can roll back again outside of his cot, for some reason he doesn't in the cot. This means that I have to get up numerous times each night just to roll him back again. Any ideas?

My baby girl is 9 months and sleeps on her tummy and has done so since about 6 months. She gets mad if you move her and will only be on her tummy for sleep. If he is turning his head to the side and is breathing just fine I wouldn't worry too much about it! My son also did it around the same age once he was able to start moving on his own. Your baby is getting to the age where he is going to begin forming his own habits during sleeping and can pick up his head and move around on his own :) Its perfectly normal!

i had they same thing with my second child and you can get this thing from the baby stores and it looks like a jumpsuit but has like this belt thing that goes through the back and wraps around the cote mattress its easy to put on and they cant roll over no matter how much they try, but honestly if hes not lying flat on his face and knows to turn his head i would just leave him hes not far off being one and they learn their own sleeping patterns and what they like the most just like all of us.... i hope i was a help : )
