He'd rarher be in my arms then in his crib. When he falls asleep we try to put him in his crib, but he wakes up sreaming. I think it;'s a security thing.

My Son slept in his bassinet or in his winnie the pooh bounsie chair til he was probably 1.5 months old. After that I transitioned him to the crib first at nap times then for night times. I really recommend the lights and sound crib attachment, it attaches to the crib and you hit a button and music and lights come on. Our son loves it. He even has learned how to hit it just right to get it started. Even though I think that's coincidence.. ;)

ONE MONTH???? Our son slept in our room in his bassinett until he was sleeping through the night for the most part. then to transfer him was no big deal, we just put things that were familiar to him from his bassinet into his crib. Never fussed.

BUT AT ONE MONTH??? that is still a new born, I would wait a bit longer, just a side note we never slept with baby in our bed.

Hey Megann, im only a first time mum so its up to you weather this helps you or not but i used o wrap my daughter paige up then rock her to sleep and when she was only a few months old she started holding on to this teddy that darren brought for her and since then she sleeps with it over her head have you tried giving him a teddy or something or waiting until his sound asleep before tryin to put him down

My baby is just a few weeks old and he does not like his crib. He will sleep fine on my bed during the day. Usually he sleeps by himself as long as he is full. He also sleep very well in is car seat. So I do think that it's a comfort thing.

I have stopped swaddling him because he does sleep well as long as he's full, but your baby might need that. Also, try putting one of your shirts beneath him in his bad. I think my son will sleep in my bed and not in his crib because of my scent. ;) Good luck.

Try swaddling that baby..there are these blankets you can get on line at lovingbabyswaddleblanket..they're fab..but meanwhile welcome to my world..if the blankets don't help you could be like me and just do whatever you can to get a few mins of shut eye..all of my babes have ended up in bed with me for a while..the best ones have been my latest twins though who are sleeping on their own now at not quit 6 months..much better than my oldest who didn't go to his own room 'til he was nearly 2 and only then any rate you will survive and so will baby..just make sure you don't get run down from fighting all night to get him to his own room..have you tried a swing?

yes, it is more than likely a security thing....i let my son sleep with me till he was about 2 1/2 months is not recommended because of the risks of the baby being rolled on and getting suffociated.....but its what worked for us....once he was about 2 months old i stated to put him into his bed for naps and then after he was used to that i put him in there to sleep at night, but once he woke up to eat the first time he was back in bed with me for the rest of the night, like i said it worked for us, but might not work for son is now 10 months old and he goes to sleep in his bed himself and sleeps all night....
