with my daughter she was on cereal at 8 days because formula just wasn't satisfing her at all. and by the time she was 3 months i was adding baby food into the cereal little bits at a time just to see how she handled it. every baby is different and your the mom you know what your baby needs and wants better than anybody so i say go with your gut but start small amounts.

my son is 4 months as well ; i've strated with papaya, banana and baby rice- he seems to enjoy it alot but i will try and give carrot, potato etc and i am avoiding al least for now the jars; suppose is nothing wrong as long as he seems fine and happy cause as somebody else said u know ur baby best so give it

i gave my little girl jars at 4 months even tho they say not till 6 months now but why does it say from 4 months on the jars so if you think you son is ready then sod the docs and give it to him xxxxx

Every baby has their own pace. If you think he's ready, give it a try. Worse case scenario is you go back to rice cereal. Maybe increase the amount of cereal that you are giving him if you don't think he's getting enough.

My doctor wanted me to start at 4 months with my son. Personally, I felt better waiting a little longer. I started at 6 months and included a little at a time.
