Lactose Intolerant???

I need help for my 5 1/2 month old daughter. She currently is on Baby's Only Formula with DHA since 4 months (when breastfeeding came to an end). She has had diarrhea for about 2 weeks and has been vomiting since Tuesday. The vomit comes and goes with no fever. We went to ER, no blockage and she stays hydrated and we are using pedialyt. She went almost 24 hrs, ate, than after 7 hours, vomited again. What is going on?! My pediatrician advised against changing formulas...but she seems to have developed a possible intolerance to it. Anyone else EVER go through this? I'm worried. Her diarrhea is very foul smelling and at times, completely just water. Please help. Could she be lactose intolerant maybe?

I'm not a professional so I'm not giving you advice, but I will share some experiences I've had. My first child had extreme acid reflux and I was told to supplement some breast feedings with bottle feedings and that this would help keep the acid down better. So the formulas I tried made things worse. Finally I found Good Start gentle on tummies formula and it was the only thing she could have. She had alot of projectile vomiting where it would shoot straight out and hit the wall. However, my granddaughter on the other hand, had a bit of a hard time with the Good Start and found the generic brands better. But there are formulas for sensitive tummies too that might help. Going from breast milk to formula was my mistake with my first child but if you have to than that's what you have to do. Hope this helps. I also have my little guy on a probiotic called Biogaia to help put the Good bacteria in his tummy and its the best thing I ever did. It helped to mature his tummy in a good way.
