Meal time...

My health visitor has told me my little boy can now eat anything me and my partner eat, at the moment i only puree up veg and fruit 4 him but im worried about other things because of the salt and sugar intake. what are the best things to give him? Please help, ive been reading up on it and everyone says different things are right and wrong..im just confused.com

Follow your instincts. Make sure the fruits and veggies are soft enough for him to gum. Watch how much salt you use while cooking for you and your partner (a lot isn't good for any of you). Start with "adult" solid in the veggies and fruits you already know he loves the purees of. Meat might be a bit harder. My eldest still doesn't like the texture of ground meats that much. When he was little, he preferred to gum steak cut in small pieces. My youngest right now doesn't like steak and is hesistant about ground meat. It may help you feel better is you start the solids during the meal and follow up with a puree after you are done eating. That way, your little boy is learning to feed himself and you still know he's getting enough calories.
