I know how you feel happened to me too. I would check on her and make sure she isn't acting any different like crying or throwing up. When my daughter hit her head the first time i called the pediatricians just to make sure and it made me feel a whole lot better. Wait till she starts walking like my daughter she is 9 months and hits her head on everything!

Not to worry babies head are pretty strong... we accidental misjudge the space and bumped our sons head on a corner table at 5 days old... he cried and got over it... till now at 3 months he looks great and fine. at 5 1/2 month, babies should get stronger and stronger.

She'll probably be fine. My son who is now 11 months old hits the back of his head all the time. My sister did the exact same thing to her son by the way, so don't feel bad. I've bonked my sons head on the car door it happens. She probably cried hard b/c it's the first time she's hit her head. You are NOT a bad mommy. :) I do have to say that today he hit his head and I cried, so sometimes their going to get hurt and your going to cry too and all will be well.

it is natural to worry I know.. You only bumped your daughters head, I dropped my daughter twice!! imagine how I feel thinking about that.. she should be ok, if she acts any different then I would call your Dr as soon as you can..
