My baby doesnt like 'dinner' food!

Hi all, my little girl is now 6 months, she has indicated within the last month or sao that she wants solid food, I give her baby cereals for breakfast which she loves, she also loves fruit salads and fruit yogurts however when it comes to 'dinner time' I try giving her things like sweet potato, pumpkin, parsnips etc but she just turns her nose up at them all. I dont want to keep giving her fruit stuff as a dinner... any ideas?

have you tried mixing it with oatmeal? I agree with Christine that you should keep trying. I never had a problem with my daughter rejecting flavors but as I introduced foods with more texture she initially rejected them, even gagged when she was clearly not choking on stage 3 baby food. After some time she decided she liked it and now eats whatever I give her including finger foods. Also you could try alternating something she does not like with something she does. I did that with applesauce any time Rowan refused to eat something. Good luck!

Just keep takes up to 8 times before they can like something. My LO would not eat her green beans or sweet peas but I kept trying and she finally took to them. Good luck.
