My daughter has a cold too. this is her third one and she is only 7 months! She is an angel during the day but would wake at night because she couldn't breathe through her nose. I found co sleeping helps me keep my sanity. I only do co-sleeping at night when she is sick. I also have a cool mist humidifier running in her room. I also keep her in an infant chair or sitting as much as possible during the day to help it drain. You can try having him sleep in a swing or chair because the incline will help his nose drain.Salenex drops are also good because it will help flush the nostrils. Unfortunately babies don't like them too much. If it's his first cold I would see the doctor just to be safe. Be prepared for him to be stuffed up for a while since he can't blow his little nose himself.

Hi, my little one, who is just turned ten months, was full of cold all last week. She also cried constantly but is normally a happy baby. I found wiping her nose with unscented baby wipes seemed to settle her a bit, and putting a tiny bit of vaseline around her nose at night got rid of any redness. If all else fails, take your little man to the doctors, he might have developed an ear infection along with the cold. Hope this helps.x
