Hi, I have currently stopped breastfeeding my son is 3 months, i didnt stop gradually which i wish i did as im in agony and my breasts are so heavy, im using sma gold milk its seems to be ok for him, not sure which formula is best but there is a good range out there you will find 1 that suits your baby xx

I stopped gradually.
I breast fed morning & bed time. And during the day i fed bottles.
Then i just breast fed in the morning.
I found Tommee Tippe bottles the best, as they look more like the breast.
I use cow & gate milk, because they had the biggest range at the time.

i breastfed my daughter at first...but she didnt want to make it easy for me so i had to convert:)

you need to start introducing your son to the bottle if you havent done so already...if he wont take it right at first...(i know this sounds mean) starve him and he will eat! i recommend that you use a nipple that is close to your nipple so it wont be much of a change...and start off with two bottles of formula a day...then work your way up to every other feeding a bottle until you make it to just the bottle...

tip for you...your breast are going to hurt like crazy...but remember cold is your packs...and wear tight bras too...

i would use enfamil gentlease lipil...its better for the baby it is already broken down for them.!!!

good luck let me know if i can help anymore

You can either go cold turkey and pump out a little for comfort or do it slowly. I am currently stopping myself. I pumped, so I would pump 5-8 times, then I went down to 4 then a few weeks later 2.. So now I only pump in the morning and before I go to bed. And I think the best formula would be Similac....> This is what it looks like:
