My son is 3 months old. Lately he's having problems at night, he doesn't want to go to sleep, he crys (and my son never crys, ive only heard him cry when he gets shots and when he was born. he just makes a fussin noise) and this is like a loud screaming cry, and he doesn't want a bottle, juice, binky, nothing. an he doesn't need a diaper change, but i've noticed he's been chewing on his hands alot and chewing on anything he can get his little mouth on. is there any way he's teething already? An what can i do? My pediatrition just tells me he's getting to that age where he doesn't want to go to sleep...b.s i know my baby and something wrong!

The only thing I could say to the part about him not needing anything would be colic. However, I don't know when colic begins(if it's right from birth or if it can start at any time). Also if you say he's chewing on anything, he is most likely teething. My son just turned 4 months this past Sunday and previously to that(wish I knew how far back but I can't remember) he was chewing and chewing and chewing on everything (mostly his fingers). Well, that same Sunday was when his first tooth appeared and then Monday his second one appeared. Check his bottom gums(the front bottom teeth are usually the first to come in). You will feel a bump if his teeth are coming in. Also, all babies react differently to teething. My sister-in-law said her daughter HATED anyone touching her gums while she was teething however my son just LOVED when anyone would lend him a hand :) Your son may just be more sensitive to his first teeth. I do remember my wisdom teeth coming in back before they were removed (I know I went from infant to adult) but it was almost itchy and sometimes painful where it would've felt good if I could just chew on something 24/7. I can imagine your son being annoyed as I was. Oh yea and I can't forget. My son had diarrhea or even just the worst smelling diapers starting then. So if you notice that that's also a tall-tale sign
