I had both of my daughters ears pierced at 2 months. I was told by the people that pierced their ears that they had to have the first round of shots from their 2 month check up. I like doing it at this age, 1 because they don't remember it & 2 they are too small to mess with them and it give their ears time to heal without them grabbing or pulling on them. It's very easy to keep them clean. I was given a solution to put on them 2-3 times a day and was told to turn the earrings 2-3 times a day.

both my daughters were done at 5 months..my youngest just had hers done 1 week ago..she cried for 2-3 min after and then she was done.. its not hard to clean them they give u a solution to but on three times aday and u have to make sure to spin the earing now and again.. Ive never had a problem with them being this young..I would also recomend getting both ears pierced at the same time(one person on each ear).. my oldest got one at a time and cried harder and it was harder to hold her still for the second earring..what ever u choose it will be fine

I got mine done on my 13th birthday as a treat. I've promised my daughter she can have hers done for her 11th birthday, in the holiday before she starts secondary school.

well i got my little girls pierced when she was 3 months old. many people say its best to pierce there ears when there babies because there lil ears are tender so itll go through the ear faster. she only cried for about 1 minute and that was that. =] i was scared at first of course but its best to do it when there younger.

I think not until they are old enough to realize what they have in their ears. Yea, it's cute and all and they won't remember it but, I had my ears pierced I want to say at about a year old and I had a blanket. Well, walking around with my blanket I got it hooked on my ear and it ripped right out. I still have a split ear from it. I don't know how important it is to you but maybe about the age of 4 or 5 for a birthday gift. Maybe make it exciting for them and let them pick out their own earrings (granted it be with your help;) ) Have fun!

i got my little hirls done on her 4 month bday.. would have had it done at 6 weeks but she was still in hospital at that time.. she was a month early and has Gastrochisis.. i used the stuff they gave me and it worked just fine.. i guess the sooner the better is what i thought.. You are the mommy u should be able to do what u feel is right for u and her.. some dpctprs don't feel that they should have them as babies.. but u do what u want she is your baby.. hope this helps...
