Your diet plays an important part in this as well... Avoid spicy foods or anything that may cause heart burn. But like Melissa said, some babies just spit up a lot...

My dr only suggested giving them formula since its thicker but id rather not if i dont have to. We do keep thm upright in a bouncy seat or swing after feedings but it doesnt seem to make much difference

my daughter has reflux shes on medication for it but what weve noticed that helps is that shes in a more upright possition when feeding and straight after, she spends alot of time in her bouncy chair she only spends time on the floor about 3 times a day for an hour at the most cos it can make her spit up alot x

Have you spoken with a Dr. and received confirmation that it is reflux? Mine spit up a lot! The Dr. said for him it was normal, no signs of acid reflux. But a friend's baby did have acid reflux and the Dr. prescribed ranitidine. The same stuff we would use only it was concentrated for a baby, liquid, and given with a dropper. That worked really well for them.
