It just seems she should be doing more than rolling to get around by now.

My daughter was born on 9th April, she can sit up by herself but i still put cushions round her as she sometimes topples over! She isnt crawling, but rolls to where she wants to go. Im sure your baby is fine, try not to compare her with other babies as they are all so different!

just six mo old, you know with my son, who is now 10 mo old, I had a lot of preconceptions about what I thought babies should be doing at what age,

My son was crawling before he could sit up on his own, however, I found out later that those bumbo chairs help them learn to sit up faster, I dont think my son sat up until 8 mo, and from there he ROCKETED in development, he will prob be walking anytime now.

He did some things early and some things later, but no at six mo my son couldnt sit up but he did get up on all fours and rock back and fourth as though it were strengthening his muscles getting him ready for crawling. Baby's all have their own development time line and as my aunt says IT WONT LAND ON HIS RESUME, LOL,

I mean as long as he is not like 18 mo and not crawling, but there is a WIDE time line of what can be considered normal.

My son was born april 28th of this year and he is crawling, sitting by himself, and he can stand by himself while holding onto something but when I tell people they are very shocked that he can do this at his age. A girl I know had her baby a week before me and her daughter hasn't even rolled over yet. It sounds like your baby girl is totally normal and just on her own schedule :]

With my daughter, she was a chunk and had trouble completely sitting up by her self at 6 months.. However your daughter should be SO close to sitting up!!! Crawling will more than likely be a few months down the road (1-2).. dont fret, trust me when they start your going to think twice, because they get into EVERYTHING! it is so much fun but boy make sure your super super baby proofed! they find it all!!!! My daughter didnt finally start walking until 2 ish weeks after her first birthday! I was super sad she wasnt walking on her birthday, but now I chase her everywhere!!! love it :D

Hi Stacie, my daughter Paige didnt walk til she was 18 months, I thought there was a problem, she eventually done it & now at 14 I cant get her to sit down for more than 5 mins, dont worry, she'll do it when shes good & ready!! x
