Does anyone elses baby have a 'stork bite' on the back of their head, neck? It a light reddish mark almost looks like a birth mark.. Wondering when it will go away... or if it will. My daughters cousin on my husbands side has it too.

All 4 of my babies had them on the back of the neck, with 3 of them they gradually faded my littlest is only 5 weeks old so his is still there.

both my daughters have stork marks on their foreheads and back of head. according to our peadiatrician, the forehead ones fade away but the ones at the back of the head don't. i still have my stork mark on my forehead but it is only noticeable when i get angry and red. my oldest daughter's one (she is 2 yrs old) is now only noticeable when she cries hysterically. hers faded when she was about 18 months. she still has the one at the back of her head but that doesn't bother me as her long hair covers it

My daughter is now 2 and she had one at birth, now its gone. I have a 10 week old little boy and he has one as well. My daughter also had an angel kiss on her eye lid, which was so adorable! I wish that one would have stayed. Yes, they do fade and go away, its sad to me, it means their not babies any more...

Thanks ladies!
Vicki, my daughters hair is growing in now at the back so its not at noticeable. I wonder if thats why you haven't seen any adults with them... cuz there has is covering it? Who knows. As long as its not annoying, or hurting my little babe it can stay. hahaha

My boy has one. The back of his neck is still pretty red but the one on his forehead has faded a lot. They must fade pretty early, I've noticed loads of babies with them but no children or adults.
