I little guy has three chins and the doctor told is to use a little bit of baby powder (pure cornstarch) I does get clumpy when it gets wet again and you have to keep putting it one throughout the day. It does the trick for us, hope it helps!

Coconut oil, ointment, the purified lanolin nursing moms use on their n*pples, (very thick & sticky but very waterproof) etc. The basic idea of something to serve as a water/drool resistant barrier on his skin. You can also use just plain vaseline, especially before naps. One important note: If you don't get the face clean and DRY before applying the vaseline, then the drool gets trapped under the barrier and makes the rash worse. The "barrier" technique is only preventive, so best if you catch it early.
