I think he should get one day a week to sleep in aswell. You could go out in the arvo on the day that he gets a sleep in to let them have time together.

I am in the same situation as you Amanda, and my husband and I have the same arrangement .... he gets up early on the weekends and will do her morning feed, but usually after I get up he will go back to bed for an hour or so. I do not think it is demanding at all. It is his special time with her, without mommy getting in the way. If my DD fusses in the middle of the night I am the one who gets up with her, so I think that it is only fair that he gets up with her first thing in the morning.

No way, my husband and I had the same arrangement for a while since he would get home around the time she would go to bed. And being at home all day, like it or not you need a little break!

Is he happy not sleeping in? Maybe you could sleep in one morning and let your husband sleep in the other. I am sure that as a full-time student and worker he is als ver busy. Is it possible for you to snooze during the day when you little one does?

no i think its fine, husbands need to realise that being a mum is a 24 hour job. My husband will get up with our son on one of the days he has off and do the 7am feed for me so i can have a bit of a sleep in too. He doesnt complain so i don't think you are being to hard on him, the guys get a break from home stuff by going to work, mothers on the other hand can never escape, its the least they can so =)
