Only wean if you WANT to! Three months is a big growth spurt, so IF he's not getting enough, he probably just wants to nurse more to bring in your milk. The best way to tell if he's getting enough is by diaper output - is he getting 4-5 wet diapers a day? If so, he's getting enough milk. I'm assuming you mean breast milk, not formula (correct me if I'm wrong!). Babies only need 19-30 oz of breast milk in 24 hours.

If you want to wean him, do so - but you don't need to!

are you breastfeeding or formula? you could add oatmeal or rice cereal to the 'milk' or if your breastfeeding, you can spoon feed it in addition to. 6 bottles of 7oz should be more than enough. my daughters dr said not to go over 32 oz in any 24hr period. I breastfed the first 3 months until i wasn't producing enough and switched to formula and oatmeal and then at 4 months i started with other baby foods like peas and carrots and squash. and that was in addition to her 32 oz of formula. hope that helps. wish you best of luck. p.s use your instinct if he seems hungry, feed him.

one more thing, also try water my ped told me that for every month your baby is is how much water they can have in a 24 hr period. since your son is 3 months, try 3 oz of water throughtout the day.
