what can i do?my son only loves to eat junks and snacks but hardly ever want to eat food..i really h

Throw out ALL the junk food!! He can't eat what isn't available to him. And make it very clear that he is to eat what you make or starve. You will have a battle on your hands but he will get hungry and eat. Do not give in... its your job as a parent to protect him and part of that is feeding him properly and making sure he is eating properly. Put your foot down and be the strong parent he deserves.

Take it out of the house altogether... If its not there for hime eat, then he wont! Your kids eat what you feed them!! If you dont think its okayy for your baby to eat, it probably isn't someting you should be eathing either :D You need to stop this early one, it only can get worse and more unhealthy for him! Nobody wants that..

so if your child wanted to run across a busy road you wouldnt let him right?? well its the same with junkfood. you have to put your foot down whether he likes it or not and dont let him walk all over you. He wont want to eat healthy food if you give him junk food because its full of sugar and fat and crap that will fill him up so he wont be hungry for healthy food. and if u eat junkfood in front of him, then keep in mind... what kind of habits you want your son to grow up with!

Dont give him any junk food. Let him be hungry until he eats what is offered to him. It might take half a day but he will eat, he isnt going to starve. Just dont feed him any junk not even as a reward. I give my daughter apples as treats, she gets the occasional ice cream but her rewards and favorite foods are carrots and fruits.

Kids will eat what you feed them. They will not starve themselves. They may not eat it the first time, but if all you feed them is healthy stuff then they have no other choice. Eventually they do get hungry enough and eat. There are some likes and dislikes that I do account for when planning a meal, but for the most part in order to have something sweet you must have eaten a healthy diet that day. My kids don't have a problem with eating at meal times, so I am OK with them snacking inbetween, but snacks are healthy snacks (ie: fruit). The rule is always if you don't eat most of your meal (you don't have to clean your plate, but you do need to eat most of a kid portion size) then the next time you eat anything is at the next mealtime.

my little girl went thru that too. she is 3 and i just didnt buy any for a while and told her we were all out and so when she was hungry she ate what i gave her but she has always like veggies so she would eat them but not much...she was bad about wanting to snack all day instead of just eating her 3 meals and a couple small snacks so i had to put a stop to it, she does better now!

i agree with jackie. throw it all out and dont let him see you eating it either. if he doesnt want what you make him, well, dont eat! by next meal he will be hungry enough to at least try what you make. when i was growing up, my mom didnt even have sugar or butter in the house. if we didnt eat what she made, then that was it. dont make any special meals for him either, your not a short order cook! eventually he will come around and realize that you are the boss and what you say goes. especially at the table. good luck!

try tricking him... like instead in stead of fries cut up apples into shoe string shapes and let him eat those (or do it with carrots or sweet potatoes) give him healthier options, like instead of a cupcake give him a mini blueberry muffin with come cream cheese as frosting.. dont give him chicken nuggets, get him fresh chicken and cut it up into finger sized pieces bake it and give a little ketchup to dip them in and when you make macaroni and cheese or any kind of pasta throw some fresh veggies in there (lots of them so its hard to pick them out) like shoe string carrots, peas, corn, cauliflower and broccoli.. dont give into him wanting the un healthy snacks they arent whats best for him and you know that and he will learn that... just start small and dont make him distressed on the diet change... you willl both learn healthier ways to eat in time..
