When do babies start teething?

My baby is 12 weeks old and has been slobbering and chewing on stuff a lot. Does this mean she is about to start teething? Isn't she too young for this?

My little girl is 16 weeks old and for the past month has been dribbling, chewing hands and everything else!!! Also her cheeks keep going bright red the health visitor kept telling me it was too early but last week finally conceded that she was teething so no its not to early. Ive found dentinox teething gel and ashtons & parsons powders great for when she is in pain, hope this helps x

My son also began chewing on things, slobbering and had red cheeks fro about 12 weeks. His first two teeth arrived without much fuss at 4 months. I checked to see whether his gums were red and I saw his two bottom teeth already cut through. He is now 5 months old and his top two are almost through.

My 3 month old has started to chew on her fist and I was worried she was starting to teeth but she seems quite happy in herself so im wondering if shes just found her hands an finds comfort in it as she is using the dummy less and less.

My daughter started slobbering and crewing like crazy when she was about three months old. I was sure she was teething and going to have a tooth come in soon, but she is now six months old and no teeth yet. She doesn't seem to be in any pain, so I don't think she is teething now, I have used teething tablets with my other children while they were teething, or there is the gel but that tastes terrible, I guess it depends on the pain level for the baby.

My daughter when through a phase at about 2.5 months where she drooled alot and chewed on everything. It stopped for a while and now at 5 months she is doing it all again. This time the ear tugging is included. I give her baby Tylenol and if I have to orajel. I try not to unless I have no other choice. She likes to chew on cold wet washcloths. Everyone told me to use Hylands teething tablets so I bought them but if you look up the first ingredient *(belladonna) it is poisonous and I heard bad stories so now I stick with the basics. It will pass and they just like to be held and cuddled until then. Good Luck, keep me posted.

my son was round that age when he first started teething so yea your daughter probably has a tooth coming!

Usually betwween 2-10 months of age. My first was around 9.5 months, but my last one was at 2.5 months. He has 8 teeth and is getting another one soon. He is only 10 months old. But my first had only one at this age. :) Usually within a month of them starting to slobber and chew, they pop a tooth through.
