My son has never really gone by the sizes...I always knew...once we had multiple "overflowing/leaking" diapers, thats the time to move up! lol He's 20lbs now...and he just moved up to size 4 huggies. Weight starts at 22 lbs.

My baby is 3 month and in a size 3 diaper. Size 2 diapers were getting small and she would pee in it one time and it seemed like it was full, so I went to a three and she was room to move and grow!

When the baby is filling them during the night, when poop is leaking out the top back of them or the legs, also when you notice they are filling them with pee quicker then before. You can't really go by the weights. I had two small babys and they both outgrew the capacity of the diaper before they out grew the size of the diaper. This just means a little adjusting to the diaper if this happens to you.. for example folding down the top a little before doing up the diaper.

If the ones baby is in are too big they will leak and/or fall off. If they're too small they may be uncomfortable for baby or not be able to contain what baby does in them! Babies are different shapes as well as sizes though so the weight is just a guideline. Having some nappies in the next size up is a good idea just in case you run out of the usual size - it's not as if they'll be wasted as baby will need them that size at some point anyway!

i did it by the weight - the weight of your baby shows u wen u need to move up a size , check on the nappies box or bag ??

most dipers have a weight range guide on the packs, my little girl has narrow hips so i waited till she was a kilo over the start weight and then she went into them
